Show Your Elevated Chainstay Bikes-Vintage Rigid Hardtails

I didn't find a dedicated thread for this.

Let's see those E-stay bikes. EDIT: Vintage Hardtails.
Mine is an aluminum Ellison frame The Bike Beat Revolution Sun Tour XC Pro equipped.

Rare animals. Very uncommon.

Modern version would be a Trek Stache.

Not currently though this isn't a super active sub-forum. You might ask a moderator to move it to C&V, they might have something or might already have a thread. I saw an Alpinestars Mega come through the shop a little while ago which was neat but beyond that I don't own one and no huge desire for one. They are cool but were never something I desired back in the day. A John Tomac or Missy Giove Yeti or even better a Tinker Juarez Klein, now you got me excited.

That poor bike, someone put a tourney derailleur on it yuck. It is a neat bike and so easy to get decent derailleurs either new or from that era that would really set it off or work a lot better.

I see them listed for sale all the time here in SoCal. I have posted a bunch of the Nishikis and Haros, Fishers in the "are you looking " thread. I can't say that I remember seeing one in use out in the wild?

Edit: Just posted a nice purple Alien in LA - https://losangeles.craigslist.org/ws...678160047.html

I've had many elevated chainstay bikes:

2000 Santa Cruz Superlight (pic not mine, this predates my digital camera):

My 2003 SC Heckler:

My 2007 Iron Horse MLKIII

My 2010 Marin Mt Vision

My 2012 Turner 5-Spot

Kapusta: Those are elevated chainstay bikes but technically the rear triangle is a swingarm.

I have one also, KHS XC 504R

What constitutes"Vintage "? I have a 2017 Trek 1120. It's rigid and has an elevated chainstay, but I don't want to get myself into trouble here. It's kinda old, but I think it's more of a new wave design than a vintage.

Too late, you can’t change the rules in the middle of the game.
