Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Burton Timber backpack for riding and hiking. Chrome bag is just too big for most the summer and not very comfortable on long hikes.

A new bike. This money saving scheme to sell the car and ride full time would be laughable if it wasn't so painful for the pocket book

I should add it isn't a fix gear so I shouldn't have posted it here. Probably somewhat true for the FG crowd though.

It still amazes me how people still reach for/ allow others to buy this chain.... it's among the least reliable of chains out there. Even KMC's entry offerings are better.
I would not be surprised if the PC-1 has claimed people's lives.

Dollars are being thrown this week... my brain says power meter for the roadie but my heart says crankset/wheelset for the Vigorelli.

while ive never used the pc-1, ive put thousands of miles on basic kmc 410 chains that i didnt even use a master link on, and they never gave me any problems

The Sram PC-1 is the only chain I've ever broken.

Forgot to post this. Smaller than my Metropolis, but I swear I can fit more stuff in this vs the Metropolis.

The Yalta is nice. Once you switch to backpacks you'll never want to go back to mess bags.
I opted for the timbuk2 especial medio.
