Bad News: Couple guys got laid off to make us lean & mean.
Good news: I still have a job
Bad news: more work for me.
Good-ish news: More responsibility, including "managing" desktop support guy.
Bad-ish new: Desktop guy is a goof ball, better start getting some work done.

I keep getting dropped from the group rides, but I haven't DNF'd from a race in over a year. Maybe I'm just less afraid to bury myself when I'm 30 miles from my house on a Tuesday night.
to be fair, everyone else got dropped tonight, too. You had to have been there.

Some house there @gsteinb, seriously. The outdoor shot is like a brochure/advertising set.
I'm still alive, not dripping venom out of my mouth or anything. Monday was the first day I was released on the public, meaning I could talk to customers on my own (selling cars, for those not keeping track). It's a bit more complicated than selling bikes.

Can someone tell me how Lotto Jumbo's new team kit passed muster? It's all well and good that they changed the shoulders and chest, but I keep getting screwed up on who is where in that French race because the back is full-on yellow. I feel like Phil.

On a road trip to DC. Someone in CT decided it was a good idea to hit our car and drive off during a pit stop at Dunkin. Fortunately someone recorded the plate number and the person already fessed up to the cops

Exactly. Even on our fancy new big screen HD, it's pretty confusing. I remember when ONCE would switch to pink jerseys for TdF. I don't know if that was mandated or they just did it on their own.

Me too (without the city part).. I've been window shopping. Getting down to Kissena is somewhere between inconvenient and impossible for scheduling reasons so I'd probably never race it, but I do want a track bike.

I want to quit my desk job and become a bike messenger. Or maybe I should just buy a track bike, but I can't justify spending money on one.

That was mandated. Sponsors have more power now, and it would be much harder to force a team to change their uniforms to avoid confusion with the yellow jersey. The favoritism for one race is an issue there, too. It is frustrating but hard to avoid in a sport where team colors are based mostly on corporate identities.

anyone have experience with international shipping for frames on ebay? Got my eye on a track bike myself, but it's in Ukraine. reputable seller, $90 shipping which seems like it would cover it. Just wondering if there are hidden fees with customs or whatever.

They are a good deal, and well regarded by the folks on the trackie sub-forum here. I work at a Specialized LBS; check for availability before you get too hopped up, it's been spotty.
