So wait. Did you get dropped because you were snapping pics or did you snap pics because you were getting dropped?

In the process of getting dropped. Both of them are much stronger than me, and I was watching them go away.

Protip: You can seal up the flaking clear coat over the carbon with clear nail polish to keep it from flaking further with use.

Helps with the gritty feeling of the road rashed raw carbon too.

It's only around 5% in the picture, but it got up to around 17% at the steepest today I think.

Yeah I had already sanded it down a bit to get rid of the rough spots and stray fibers and put a little bit of clear nail Polish on by the time i took the pic.

Oh, additional coats help smooth it out too. #beentheredonethat

Yeah its more aero like this. The carbon removed actually let's the air hit the shifters at a shallower angle, and actually saves you 4W!!!

Hm. Might try that. I just cleared it over so it wouldn't fray or chip anymore, but it didn't occur to me that I could just fill in the gap with polish.

When I was his age I was pretty much at that level and beyond. Now, I'm just happy to get out of bed and not feel like crap.
