1985 Eddy Merckx Professional, Panto-graphed Campagnolo Record 55cm
1985 Eddy Merckx Professional, 55cm square. Panto-graphed Campagnolo Record group. According to Gita, this bike was imported as a frame set and custom built at the shop for the purchaser.
7 speed Sachs freewheel. You almost never see Professionals come up for sale - Corsa's, yes, Professionals, not so much. Panto-graphed parts include crank, pedals, stem, shift levers, seat post, and brake levers. This bike rides as you would expect, fast, nimble, responsive. The paint is in good presentable shape, but there are several small rock chips...... it was ridden, after all.
$1,850 or best offer. If you think my price is out of line, state your case via PM and I'll consider it........ but there aren't many Professionals that come up for sale.
I'm in the SF Bay Area, and would prefer a local sale as I would like the buyer to see and ride before purchase to ensure happiness. That being the case, I'm more than willing to ship if you pay the freight.

Hey. John - Diablo Scott just called you a big ol' anus cookie. Are you going to take that from him?

Beautiful bike, indeed.
I can't afford to buy one, but some day I'd love to ride an expensive grail bikes to see how they compare to my modest rides.
By the way, and far be it for a novice like me to judge such a great bike, but isn't the rear brake cable a tad too long?
