The picture isn't that spectacular, but it's not often you get a clear view of a porcupine in the wild like this. He has his face tucked into his front paws, and was trying to be invisible here.

A porcupine has attacked by mom's stacked woodpile. Apparently it has shredded just about every log which creates a big mess when bringing in wood.

Our current foster. Considering she was feral 4 months ago, she's becoming quite the housecat. She's starting to like being pampered.

I can hardly believe that this is 17 years old! I snapped this halfway through a 800-mile road trip I was driving this car from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Amman, Jordan on January 17th, 2005. IIRC (this was before EXIF data became a thing,) the camera and lens were an old Nikon D1 and 35-135mm f/3.5-4.5 pump-action Nikkor that I bought used way back when I was a working reporter and photojournalist the year prior. You can just about make out the specks of dirt on the sensor. Heady times.

I had a cat that looked just like that. Called him Mr Pibb because of his white boots. A long as he could sit in a lap and drool it didn't matter what you called him. Sad story, happy ending.
