Well because I live in a small island nation 2020 wasn't as bad as elsewhere in the world. Unless you worked in the tourism industry or certain export industries, most of last year was almost normal for most of us.

I never listened to the lyrics in ABBA songs back in the day, but in the early aughts I started listening in earnest. They continually surprise me when they drop in some dark stuff. Today I'm sitting here watching the local approximation of MTV that actually plays music when "Happy New Year" by ABBA hits the screen. Then I heard them sing these lines:
Happy new year, happy new year
May we all have our hopes, our will to try
If we don't we might as well lay down and die
You and I
May we all have our hopes, our will to try
If we don't we might as well lay down and die
You and I

The snow was probably about 4-5" deep and it was a good thing that it was relatively fluffy - I had just enough contact to the ice underneath. It almost slipped out from under me a few times, mostly when I hit tracks from fat bikes, but I didn't have to put down a foot (other than for a photo op).

Well happy new year everyone, hope everyone is well.
odd things are afoot in Zwift land today. I decided to go a few more rounds with the laptop today. Tried it straight in. Nope not happinin. Turned on the companion app. Clicked on the snap icon....Holy Shazam! We have connection! We're zwifting now!! Mother of pearl that was one sweaty, brutal. Hour. I need tovwrap my laptop in clingwrap to keep it dry.
This is going to be great 👍
