Pedestrians have the right of way on paths in my opinion. Telling them to get out of the way would be like a car telling you to get out of the way on the road (maybe you’re riding kind of obnoxiously and selfishly taking up the entire lane going relatively slowly.) you just have to deal with the pedestrians and let them do their thing because you, being the vehicle operator, have a responsibility not to hit them.

Doesn't matter. You could have, and should have handled it better. Telling them to get out of your way is incredibly rude to say the least, though I understand the frustration with them blocking the trail. I encounter that around here as well, on the GAP. I simply slow down, and approach them slowly and to the side, maybe ding the bell, or simply say, excuse me, or passing on the right, or hi, nice day, enjoy. All those options have good outcomes, but get out of my way would not.

If you could drive and a motorist stopped in the middle of a one-lane street to talk to someone I’d bet you’d toss your bottle of dumpster vodka at them and then start a thread about it.
Trolling or low thinking? Which is it?

I view multi use paths in the same light as the McDonald's drive thru. There's nothing there I really want so I don't go. Sometimes the best way to deal with frustration is to acknowledge situations that create it, will never EVER change, and avoid them.

I ‘encountered’ this vicious little fellow at my end of ride coffee stop. The licking I received was horrendous.

A regular Dr Dolittle! Nice attack cat btw.
Total disclosure, I have probably thought a thousand times at airports, crowded venues, stores and on MUPs, “Get the hell out of my way”, but I always bite my tongue.. Have had it sewed up too many times. The joys of having a filter.

I could do this all day.
As I was photographing the pronghorn, I heard something moving in the grass. Western yellow-bellied racer emerged and slithered across the road in SD.
While I was reading my kindle by the fire in Gaines, PA I heard some chatter in the trees. Turned on my camping headlamp and saw two curious possums.
The next day I was riding the Pince Creek Trail south from Ansonia, PA. Let out a big sneeze. Heard some commotion in the brush on the side of the trail then a big kersplash! Managed to get a couple of shots after he got out of the water on the opposite bank. (Notice the ripples the in creek.)
That other bear was digging for something on the side of the road in NJ. We came very close on a descent. I thought it was a big dog, then the guy ahead of me said "It a bear!" It ran off into the woods.

My most memorable encounter was very early on a spring morning so too dark for pics. Riding to work on the MUP through the Marsh when my headlight caught something that turned out to be a large herd of freshly hatched banana slugs making a dash across the pavement. Luckily they hadn't yet reached the grass next to the trail, so I carefully walked my bike around them. Not sure where they thought they were headed, but it was bound to be a disappointment, as it was a steep slope to a pond full of waterfowl.

Heh. Reminds me of getting on the Lehigh Gorge Trail at White Haven, PA headed to Jim Thorpe. I left very early in the morning because I had a long day’s ride, so it was still completely dark out. After a few miles I saw a shadowy figure coming towards me in my headlight. Thought it was a bear, so I stopped. Turned out to be the biggest porcupine I think I’ll ever see in my life. As he got close he veered off into the brush. Wish I could have gotten a photo.
