Looks amazing! The brakes did the trick, both functionally, and visually!,,,,BD

I will also (hopefully) be getting a new rear wheel soon because the rear has a dent and I can't true it. There are a few minor things that I'll be getting over the course of the next few months. During this school year I will probably be spending a bit on drivetrain components as they wear. I just hope nothing serious happens to it, this bike is a beaut.

Well crap on a stick. Went from the hoods to the front shifter, missed and knocked my Sigma 906 off of it's mount. No big deal right? Well... I also ran over it in the process

Kind of reminds me of the time my Superflash tail light bounced off. I slowed and stopped to go back and get it, but some jerk actually went out of his way to swerve and run over it. It was one of the white ones, so easily visible.,,,,BD

Yeah, that saddle has to go for sure. My preferred saddle has been OOP for a decade.

This thing gets more use than my road bikes, or my hardtail these days. It is heavy as heck but it serves it's purpose well. Rolls well and does not fall apart on the sh*tty roads to/from work.

Thats awesome, I still need to do at least one conversion to one of my rigid's. I ride to work 4 days a week and usually ride my Paramount MTB. Its 24 lbs and just kicks butt. I never ride my hardtail unless I plan on hitting some trails. My Prologue roadie gets ridden once a week or so. My go-to's are the Paramount and Univega both rigid mtbs...I love old mtbs.

Same thing here. My Cimmaron gets as much mileage as the rest of my fleet combined....

my univega is my favorite bike and the one i choose most often unless I need to haul stuff. recently I went on a 35 mile ride which included 8 miles of offroad trails. I was able to keep up with the roadies on the pavement and the mtbs on the trails

My favorite bike is my only bike. . I'm thinking of building up a fixie for the days when my Trek isn't up to par.

Another pic of the Giant, with the train that held me up on the way home (With a saddle from the box o' crap!)

They are Shimano STI "push-push" shifters (push to shift up, push diff lever to shift down.) Apparently they can be a nightmare and cause people tons of problems, but I haven't had them do anything funky at all.

^ Hey, you've got company. I installed a spare Wheeler Titanium saddle onto my Specialized Hardrock.
BTW, nice looking Giant!
