65cm Assenmacher Handmade Classic Road Touring Bicycle w/ Campagnolo - $800 (Seattle)

CL Seattle Assenmacher

Are you a very tall cyclist? Here is the bike for you. 65cm Assenmacher vintage road touring bicycle. Seat tube 65cm center to center, 66cm center to top. Top tube 59cm center to center. Saddle height in photo is 90cm. Likely suitable for a 6' 5"- 6' 9" rider, maybe a little shorter or taller depending on your proportions. It is a big bike for sure.

The builder Matt Assenmacher trained under Bob Jackson in England. Frame building style has similar cues. 1970s vintage custom frame for J.C. Peterson (inscribed on top tube). Reynolds 531 tubing. Clearance for larger tires, currently running 700x35. Campagnolo Record derailleurs, hubs and shifters. Dura-Ace center pull brakes, Specialized triple crankset. Nitto dirt drop style stem and wide flared drop bars. Recently tuned, all cables, housing and chain new. Ready to ride.

Motobecane le Champion 58cm - $300 (Shoreline)

CL Seattle Moto

I have a 58cm Motobecane le Champion road bicycle for sale that I built myself while working as a bicycle mechanic at Recycled Cycles in the UD. It is a CrMo lugged steel frame (Reynolds 531) in "Victory Champagne" color and hand painted yellow tracing around the lugs. Both wheels are hand built. The rear is a Galli Maillard high flange freewheel hub laced into a Campagnolo shallow V rim while the front a Shimano 600 laced into a Mavic Open 4 CD rim. Front and rear derailleurs are Campagnolo friction shifters as are the downshift paddles and all cable clamps and guides. The cranks are Stronglight with a 52/46 ratio and the freewheel is a tight corncob cluster. Brake levers are Diacompe and calipers are Modolo Flash. Stem and bars are matching TTT. The saddle is a black and yellow Turbo bios (the most comfortable road saddle for me at least) that matches the brake hoods and lug paint.

Trek 900 road bike - $1,150 (Bainbridge Island)

Probably overpriced, but still nice to see.

CL Seattle Trek

1978 Trek 900 Series Road Bike

Sewup tires, old school pedals, Campy, stainless steel spokes, Columbus tubing, bar end shifters, Cinelli bars, Silca Pump.

Paid about $1150 for it back in 1978 so its worth at least what I am asking maybe.

Stand over height is around 32.5"

Single owner

Never wrecked or rolled

Its too big and the gears are too tall for me now

Located in Diamond Point Sequim WA; and I don't live there; so we'll have to coordinate viewing.

Asking; $1150

Some nice touches on this thing. Wouldn't mind picking up an Assenmacher one day.

I'd vote for slightly modified Prugnat "Italia" style. There might have been a number designation, too but I have yet to find it. VERY popular with many Brit brands

Great post! VERY nice seeing another Trek with this rare light green Imron paint job. That one looks to be in excellent condition. Is that a 58cm? I have it's next year's sibling.

Have to admit, if this was my size, I'd be tempted even at this price. I dig the color and you don't see the Columbus tubed Treks too often. They're nice riders.

Yep, I'm normally a 'bottom feeder' when it comes to old bikes and pricing, but when I saw this '79 930 in my size, I went outside my normal 'cheapness' since I knew it was something special Jeff (aka DrilliumDude) has been helping me make it right, and it will be taken back to what would have been a normal configuration for a 1979 Trek 938 w/ Campy NR.

Is anyone in the area interested in this frame and wheels? It's way too small for me but I love that group. Anyone want to consider a deal? You can get that beautiful blue and chrome frame and wheels.

Lemond Nevada $250

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...8042947520907/

Seller says: "I’ve had her since 2014. Every time I bring her into the shop, the mechanics always make sure to let me know what a nice bike I’ve got. She could use a tune up. If you stay in the middle ring, gears do alright. If you venture out into the 1st or 3rd ring, it gets cranky. Handlebar tape is loose on the left side, an easy fix if you’re less lazy than me haha. Rear wheel missing one spoke. Lots of dings on a rock solid frame. Pardon my rudimentary measurements: Top Tube: 21 in Seat Tube: 22 in 33 inches from ground to bottom of where the seat goes in Very lightweight" Seller asking $250 in Chicago

I say "cheapskate", which I definitely am. Have had a lot of 70's-early 80's Treks over the years and consider myself done with them. But, if a TX-900 came along in a unique color like the one above, I think I'm gettin' it. Had an '82 950 and it's still one of my favorites.

Please post some photos of your 938 when it's done.
