This one has been for sale for quite a while. I think I even posted it a couple months ago. I do like this version of the Competition and the Ideale saddle seems to have a little life, still.

It has alloy cb stem, bars and seatpost with ideal leather seat. It still has the original huret jubilee derailleurs and shifters finished out with the ta specialties crankset. The wheelset is Araya alloy with Normandy competition hubs. The brakeset is weinmann 999 centerpulls with drilled weinmann levers and Carlton hoods. Asking $250

Currently on eBay. The interesting elements are this is very late- post Brian, one tell is the placement of the chainstay graphics, hiding MASI behind the chainring.
I always look at brake clearances, some of the post Carlsbad bikes got wonky. Here with 27” wheels no less, the rear brake pads are dropped all the way. Could not get a tubular wheel to work, pads would have to drop another 4mm at least.
so… short reach brakes here. Use a “normal” reach caliper and all would be good.
‘this bike has an all chrome fork, unusual.
paint appears original
investment cast lugs, correct seat tube bands.
seller references a bit but is not well versed, or on purpose.
