Need Bib Shorts with pockets
Hey guys,
What brand of bib shorts do you recommend that come with pockets big enough for an iPhone, flat kit, and bars?
Thanks!

That is why we have cycling jerseys and jackets. I can't think of any bibs with pockets, nevermind pockets for that much crap.

Why would you want pockets on your bib shorts? Because your trousers have pockets? Are you trousers as close fitting as bib shorts? I can't imagine what pockets on bib shorts would even be like.
But here's something you may be interested in: They make loose shorts that have slash pockets with zippers, which is ideal - keeps things from sliding out while riding, but comfortable to use. I wear these if I'm going to be spending much time in public off the bike around a ride (I don't bother with a belt, though).
These are from Rab. I don't know if they're a current style, but there are probably others.

I'm totally into it, camo fatigues with pad & bib straps. We like our off-roading, here in Vermont.....

I had a pair of LG shorts that had a gel pocket. It was super discreet and I used it to hold a larabar. I actually miss it a lot - I bought it at performance a year or two ago but I think they discontinued the line.

Some Aerotech Design bibs have a fairly large mesh pocket.

Giro makes bib shorts with three back pockets.

You can also look to triathlon shorts/bibs. Zoot and DeSoto makes shorts with pockets and these are some of the most comfortable shorts I have ever worn.

The Desoto 400 mile bibs have external pockets on the thigh area, pretty convenient for a variety of things. Nothing like having options for carrying stuff.

I want to say Specialized also introduced similar shorts as a part of their "S.W.A.T." launch, but I try to forget that kind of stuff.

I have a custom kit made by Champion Systems that has small pocket in the small of the back - you could probably fit a house key, id/credit card, small amount of cash, and a phone in it. Would be tight though and a bit hard to get to while riding.

All of my bibs have a little pocket. I always thought it was for a radio, but it holds my MP3 player perfectly.

I had a pair with a little pocket and thought it was a good idea until my ride was over and everything in the pocket was soaking wet from sweating. Best to keep everything in your jersey pockets or saddle bag.

I have a small pocket on my bibs that hits me mid back so it is pretty worthless to me. I use the pockets in my jersey for my phone (HTC One), and put a small amount of cash in my saddle bag, or I put cash, wallet, and keys in my Geigerrig hydration pack.
I do ride with a Road ID bracelet so that is my identification and it also has contact information and the facts that I am type 2 diabetic and a veteran.

Having an iPhone, bars and a flat changing kit in bib pockets sounds most uncomfortable.

There's an area between your chamois and your body that lets you hold those items in compression. Barely enough room for the iphone 6 but the CO2 cartridges, mini pump, and shot bloks fit very well

Some good info guys. My friend has a De Soto 400 mile and loves it. He has his iPhone 6, flat kit along with an extra tube, and bars, all in his bib. At first I though he was crazy for putting all that on his body but can it be worse than all that hanging in a jersey hanging down your ass for four hours?
