NOS or Replica Raleigh Ribbed Bar Tape
Did a search here and did not find anything, anyone have a source of NOS or suitable replica of the 70s ribbed plastic ribbon/tape?? I have a couple of Raleigh projects and would like to source black (Competition) and either white or lagoon blue (Gran Sport), thanks, Todd

I don't have the answer, but I'm curious to see if anything turns up!
I've got a '74 Raleigh International with the original ribbed plastic tape. It's a little dirty, and starting to show its age a bit. It might be nice to have a good replacement on hand.
If it helps at all, here's a close-up of the ribs on the tape.....

Can I suggest you post a photo of what you need? Just so people like me know what exactly you need. Someone probably has some in a drawer. For example I bet I have about 20 rolls of Cateye and Benotto tape among others I'm saving for someday and some bike.

GEM handlebar tape as I recall was the brand. They made a number of styles. A British brand.
it pops up on ebay from time to time. I have not seen the white stuff for quite a while.
Soma? had some smooth white plastic at one point.

Just saw photo from steelbikeguy. No white tape do i have at all and the Benotto stuff is a dark blue.
Would Hunt-Wilde tape work? Might be hard to find and expensive. Here is a photo from flicker of a white GranSport with that tape. For some reason i can't copy and paste the photo

Thanks All for the responses, Steel bike guy is close if not totally correct, IIRC Hunt Wilde tape was that waffle textured tape that shows up often on ebay and similar as Rampar-branded, I would tightly hold onto that tape on the international, hard to find, Todd
