Oops! Forgot to post the final pics of the '93 RB-1 8 speed. Everything purchased separately over a several year span to wind up with one that was equipped pretty close to original:

If anything I think the latest version is slightly less attractive, but this is the SRAM Force 2010 I have on mine.

This is the business! very nice.

His market bears it. I'd send him my bikes to sell, but they'd be ashamed to be in the same building as his!

This topic inspired me for classic looking road bike. So there is what I have built.

Welcome to the forum, and what a great build.
In my experience, photos don't do those colors/chrome justice.
I'll bet it's super nice in person.
Very nice setup, especially looks good for riding tops and drops.
You don't see that very often.

Classic bike, great retro/STI build. This is a great thread, continuously.

I just went back through the last couple of pages. The stunners just keep coming! It doesn't matter if it is one with a garish paint job like the Repco or the Bottecchia. Or one of the solids like the RB-1, the Trek or the Coppi. They are all great! Great job people!

Thanks alot guys! It is really very comfortable bike indeed. For summer it will be equipped with spds. For now left those mks pedals on because lack of overshoes in near freezing temperatures makes riding it fast but unpleasant experience.

I like how you matched white cables with the white lettering on the frame - looks really great!

My friend Kirk rescued a Tommaso from being tossed.
He's done very well at it, just waiting on new decals. The weight, wow; it's a beauty.
He could easily go lighter, but heck, at 19.2 lbs, already right there with anything.

I must admit that I love the looks of a classic bike, but this pimped C'dale looks deadly. Love it.
