520 allows up to 2" tire clearance. LHT may also allow wide clearance.

Might have gotten confused with the Trek 920 which, somewhat controversially, has only 28 spokes.

Bikes: '99 Trek 520, '20 Kona Sutra (FOR SALE 48cm), '21 Simon-Bikes mini-velo and a chromoly-framed folding bicycle with drop-bars and V-brakes, that rolls even while folded.

The middle chainring on the Sutra is 36, not 38. It comes stock as 48/36/26.


I've had the 26 chainring switched to a 22 for awhile, now. I'm very happy with 48/36/22 - enough that I want it on all of my bicycles. I do not want the 48 switched to something lower. I enjoy using the 48.
