Old Clydesdale from Florida - Greetings
As the title suggests I am an almost 58 year old Clyde from Florida.
I have been biking in some form most of my life. It's just now I am getting into mountain biking. A recent knee replacement and a loss of 30lbs has pushed me over the edge so to speak. I have a Giant Rapid 2 fit bike I have been using on and off for the past 7-8 years or so. I also have a stationary recumbent bike I used mostly to keep in decent shape and keep the old knee lubricated. I also recently discovered swimming. It has helped with the weight loss tremendously. A recent trip to NC also encouraged me to get a mountain bike.
I have been doing an over abundant amount of research to find a mountain bike. I also rented three different bikes in the past month or so to get a feel for the sport. 2 hard tails and a full suspension.
I have a 2018 Jamis Dragonslayer Pro 26+ incoming. Hopefully it will be here next Wednesday and a maiden voyage on Thursday. Couldn't resist t he price.
