A bunch of parts, French and otherwise

I'm parting out my poor dead 1983 Motobecane Grand Jubile, along with a few other things I've had lying around. All prices include shipping to CONUS. Paypal preferred.

Mafac "Competition" brakes (later version), complete and in good working order. Mounted with Kool-Stop salmon pads with a lot of life left. $40 SOLD

Motobecane headset, complete and in good working order with a few scratches here and there $20 SOLD

Fujita "Belt" saddle, a few scuffs and an oil stain on the nose I couldn't get off, but leather is in good shape and the tenrsioner doesn't look like it's ever been tightened. SOLD

More to follow!

More stuff:

Campagnolo downtube braze-on shifters, not sure of the model ("Victory", maybe?) in good working shape. A few nicks but should polish up nicely.$20 SOLD

Vitus 172 Fork, 7 1/8" French threaded steer tube, set up for 27" wheels. Blue and silver paint job, some nicks and scratches in the paint and some pitting on the chromed fork ends, but straight and in overall good shape. Not sure what to ask for this, but let's try $50 shipped.

And more:

Nervar 1020 Alloy Crankset, 40x52 chainwheels. I gave this a cursory cleaning, should polish up very nicely. $40 shipped.

Vintage Speedic leather saddle. Broken-in, leather shows some cracks and scuffs but still usable. A neat little, relatively lightweight saddle. $20 shipped.

SR Seatpost, 26.0. Scuffs, scratches, functional but it ain't pretty. $10 shipped

Oh, I think I bought the Simplex derailleurs off this bike on eBay!

Good luck with your sale! Good to know you're a fellow BF member.

Hah! Hi Jesse!

Yes, your derailleurs are on their way.

Glad they went to a BF member.

What are the dimensions on the headset? French threading?

I'll check tomorrow. I believe it's standard ISO threading, as this was from a pretty late-model Motobecane and I think they'd gone to standard measurements by then. But I'll double check and get back to you.

it’s French threaded, as best as I can tell (I’m not too clever with these things). If you like, I’ll send it to you and pay me for it if it works. If not, no loss, just pass it forward to a good home.

The flatted rather than toothed lock washer is an indication of metric size.

How long is the steerer on the fork? I'm looking for 8.5" - french would be a bonus (it would be for a Gitane)

Thanks
Joe
