Echosmith rocked tiny Deep Run NC Friday...I like their work ethic, and they seem to have good taste in the music they cover

One more version of 'Goodbye Blue Sky' , done on an octave mandolin. I like how he's re-arranged the song to get around the low 'E' note that's repeated throughout the song when its played on guitar.

Dunno if this has been done, but considering today's weather it's appropriate:

The Jungle is coming to Tampa today and I'll be on the 50 yard line. Who Dey!

I would apologize for that video, but believe me, there are so many much, much worse choices available. OK, here's one:

Edit: After much painful watching and consideration, I decided this was the worst:

(Warning; once seen, it can never be unseen!)

((LOL the guy turning to the camera at 17 secs, like "Can you believe this s#!t is about to go down?))

I miss 70's era NFL films with the slo-mo replays set to some great music. Music can make a video so much more powerful. Here's a good video about wanting it with a good mix of music & motivational speech by Eric Thomas (AKA The Hip Hop Preacher). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsSC2vx7zFQ

Unfortunately the Panthers are playing with a ball of confusion this year

Country/blues guitarist Junior Brown. See how many song licks you can recognize in the first 6 minutes of this video; the last three minutes are a smokin' hot version of Jimi's 'Foxy Lady'.

One more from Lissie. I think she does a better job on this Fleetwood Mac tune that Fleetwood Mac did.

I became aware of the Tom Robinson Band DJ'ing college radio in the late 70's. They were one of the 1st openly gay bands. They had some good songs including this cover of Dylan, but the only original YouTube I found was from a LP with some skips. Here's Tom Robinson with 90's Japanese punk band, the High-Lows:

A friend posted this in memory of Ian McLagan, and I usually have a strong allergic reaction to mawkish covers, but I kept coming back to it because like the original it manages not to be so mawkish after all... and it's also a great reminder that the Faces were just far more than the sum of their parts, a really great band. Not that the parts were any slouches (least of all Ronnie Lane), but you know...

Train kept-a-Rollin. Maybe this song was posted earlier, but lets see if I can get most of its well known covers in one thread.

Start off with the original from Tiny Bradsahw (1951?):

On to the Johnny Burnette Trio (1960?) with the first (inadvertant) distorted guitar track (actually a loose amp tube):

The Yarbirds (1968):

And final Aerosmith (1976?):

A few more versions are out there (didn't Led Zepplin do it, at least in live shows?), but this is enough for this post. My favorite version has always been the Johnney Burnette Trio's recording.
