Love the fold, very industrial looking, but the touring model is 28 pounds+ Heavy. And I couldn't find the pricing info anywhere.

Yeah, this does look sturdy despite the double fold. But I wonder if what you gain (lose) in folded length may be added in folded width (?)

Looks like a lot of chain slack in that second photo, doesn't bode well for Birdy like chain problems when folding.

A lot of high quality custom machined parts on it so its not going to be cheap. Do actually like it, the look and the fold and the seat post suspension looks interesting just some sort of heavy duty spring. Don't like the way they show the frame getting scraped on the ground when folded would prefer some sort of plastic caps or foot. No doubt this will get improved later. The sort of bike that might be overall great but because it doesn't excel in any particular area may not be commercially viable. It's not the most compact or lightest but may ride brilliantly and I love the looks.

Like the Burke 20, the Crosshead is a 20" Andrew Ritchie-pattern folder. Also like the Burke 20, the fold puts both the drivetrain and the handlebars/controls on the outside. (!)

To make the bike easier to manufacture, they use a straight main frame tube which does not allow room for the fold under rear section under it. The rear wheel folds to the side of the frame, increasing the width of the folded package. It appears the only provision for transport once folded is carrying.

Do they say what the frame material is anywhere?

IMO every change they made away from just a straight up 20" Brompton copy - apart from those frame latches - is to the bike's detriment.

I like it just for the fact that it doesn't use side swinging frame hinges. I also find the industrial no BS machined-from-a-block-of-billet look about it endearing.

Prefer it if they did a frame, forks and seat post option. All the custom parts and find the rest of components myself without them having to add their own margin to them. That way perhaps they could do the option for £1,200 for that and you could source the rest of it yourself or pick up a cheap donor bike for the other parts. £2,000 approx seems too much to me but must admit absolutely love the look of the bike and the fold and accept it's a low volume handmade bike that is never going to be cheap.

It is a very attractive design, even if it is a bit pricey. In the photo that shows it being ridden on their website, the seat seems awfully low for the rider; I wonder if that was his preference or if the seat just doesn't go up very high.
