Eco is just passing through. Only mail trucks stop there in the middle of the road. One way single lane road. 2121 Ward Place, the "Duke Ellington Building". Located on the site of the house where Duke Ellington was born. It's a USPS facility now. Mixed use actually but mostly USPS.
Rails to Trails is also located there.

I saw him once before. He was gracefully dismounting on K at a red light. I had the green on 6th and was claiming space in the left lane in front of a tour bus in preparation for turning left on K. The tall bike rider shouted "F*** YOU BUDDY" at the bus driver. I thought that was really cool and it gave me a big boost for the rest of the day.

Ha! That's Aaron. He rides that as his every day bike. He's got quite the freakbike collection(all made himself). Almost killed myself trying to ride his swingbike.

I've seen one crank drive (edit: shaft drive) (coincidently on Vermont. Ave. a block from the highly secured rusty bike). The rider lived on a boat and bought crank drive bikes for himself and wife because he thought they would fare better at sea. He was not happy with the crank (edit: shaft) drive. I think it was a Thursday, he must have been going to the Farmers Market. The "No Parking on Thursdays" sign is there because a Farmer's Market occupies that block on Thursdays in season. Michelle Obama was behind the conception of the market, a few blocks from the White House, to promote eating healthy locally grown fresh food. Sorry for talking so much in the no talk thread, I'll delete this post after everyone has wasted a tiny part of their lives reading it.

I like how they are customized. Toeclips and a narrow saddle for officer 5012 whereas officer 5009 prefers a 'comfort' saddle and bare platforms. The angle on the shifters/brakes looks very uncomfortable though.
