'84 - 87 ish on age most likely

not enough information to give an accurate value --- what kind of tubing is it and what model is it ? --- I cant clearly read the script on the top tube ---

value between 75 bucks and 125 bucks maybe ----- the bullmoose bars are cool, but i see cheap details on the bike (cheap shifters, seat and post , etc. --- makes me wonder what kind of other parts it has hung off of it ---
I had thought that Stumpjumpers were in general , normally fitted with better grade components - if its a Stumpy

Hey, it's not a Stumpjumper it's a Streetstomper
There are no decals or stickers indicating frame tubing..
Parts are Shimano SIS, Dia comp canto's, sugino crank, wheelsmith/araya qr wheels..
the seat/rack are all aftermarket
I agree the bull moose bars are sweet

Neat bike ! -- I'd still guess maybe 150 bucks tops -- I googled the bike and apparently they were 87 and 88. Judging from the pics i saw, most had a sakae riser stem and riser bars, so the bullmoose bars may have been added to yours as well

I've never seen a "Street Stomper" before, but it looks like it kind of falls into the category of bikes that are sorta' rare, but not necessarilly too valuable -- and that one needs some tires factored in as well, which would be 50 bucks or so unless you catch a deal somewhere

$100 where I live in a mid size city in the midwest but the NYC market is very different. Nothing special about this bike but it will make a very stout city bike/commuter. I'd clean it up (esp. touch up the rust spots) and market it as the perfect "vintage" town bike. Start at some crazy price (maybe $300) and work your way down if it doesn't sell.

The rusted spokes on the front wheel are surprising, maybe it was a cheap replacement for the original wheel. Rust on the stem and seatpost bolts is a concern. With those problems, I'd start at $50, maybe going to the high range of prices mentioned if the seatpost and stem could be easily removed.

Front wheel looks like a replacement as the rim doesn't seem to match the back rim.

If you are buying for resale, it will never be worth much more than $100.

Rust on the seatpost & stem indicates steel. If these are stuck in a steel bike, they are easy to get out. Aluminum seatposts & stems stuck in steel bikes, not so much.

I love bikes like this. I don't know what it is, but something about when I ride my rigid MTB with bullmoose bars, makes me think that my bike can kick your bike's @ss.

The rust is on the seatpost and stem bolts. The seatpost looks like aluminum, and on this level of bike, the stem should be also.

It "clicks" so it must be close to '87. The street stomper was the bottom of the line ATB the years it was made. I am pretty sure they were not all chromoly but very likelt a tretubi cromo and Hiten stays and fork. I had one for a while and I don't think it even had a QR back wheel.
