FIVE STARS all day long man. Rubber block pedals, Stock stem, hub polishers, and Schwinn grips. Pure class.
Did you have some of the parts re-chromed? Because they sure are shiny. Are those axles chromed? Where did you get those?
More photos please.

I haven't asked....I just pay what they quote and it's not cheap.
The leather hub polishers were NOS...when I put them on and darn they really work!
Since you asked, I will post a couple of my other builds this evening when I get home...
I've done several and gifted/donated them all but the green one which hangs in my garage now since it doesnt get ridden post hip-replacement surgery.

Yes, many (most) parts are re-chromed, no easy task in this day and age. I live an hour north of San Diego so my best guess is the polishing is done around here, and it's sent over the border for actual plating.

Thanks. And please let me know about the axles. Is the rear hub a Bendix?

Nightrain: thats NOT an original color, but very, very close. (Its powder-coat which wasnt even invented when that bike was originally built).
Squidpuppet:The axle is stamped Schwinn.
Here’s another of my cruisers I restored/built. If memory serves it’s a 1978. It’s an Electro-forged Schwinn which refers to the way they later produced the trademark Schwinn smooth headtube joints more cost effectively.

This one got more compliments than any of my others....in the California sunshine the color (also powdercoated) was a delight to the eye.
Those pedals were a tough find and super heavy.
This frame was in atrocious shape when I found it....any earlier frame, but the vintage was right. Built before the more modern Electro-forged technology.

Last one Im going to post....(save some bandwidth for someone else) but I built this for my little sister who is 5’1”tall. This is actually an “Arnold Schwinn” bicycle, and the headbadge reflected that. “Arnold Schwinn” bikes came before the formation of “Schwinn” as we once knew it as such.
IIRC this bike had an early 1940’s original build date.
This was a tough build, powdercoated frame, but painted to match fenders (which couldnt hold up to the heat involved with powdercoat process for the body-filler they required to be made presentable).
The rims, chain guard and fender stays are also PC’ed.
I built this about 14 years ago for her, and while she now prefers her lighter Townie she still gets lots of compliments when she DOES take it out on the town. Yes, theres a chain on it now....it works better that way.
I hope I havent bored anyone....I built others but, well you get the gist of my previous bicycling life.

The paint color and finish on your cruisers makes me weak in the knees. Beautiful bikes. A Brooks saddle on the blue Schwinn would make it a bonafide show stopper.

Try a slotted screwdriver first. And clean up that paint too. the poor frame may go before the bronze-like anodized rims.

That frame is toast. the frame is flaking apart and had been since I bought it. I a bit scared to ride it. I do have a replacement frame for it when I have time and some proper Schwinn cruiser wheels.
