If you look on the map, it was at an empty lot at the intersection of Main St and Santa Rosa Creek Rd. It’s about 1/2 mile from the center of downtown. It may not be at the same location this year, but I haven’t heard anything definite. At any rate, I wouldn’t expect the start to be anything more than a 5 min bike ride from anywhere in Cambria.

Last year's start was in a glorified cow pasture, with very little close parking. My wife has some handicapped mobility issues, and she didn't even try to get close for the swap meet and Concours. She dropped me off and shopped in town while I was at the Saturday event. On Sunday, I rode out from our Moonstone Beach motel, a nice warm up. The above post mentions the approximate location. It was very dusty, with almost no shade, a real letdown from previous year's venue. Haven't heard of any changes, but it is what it is.
Start area with limited parking along the road behind, and on the field to the right of the vendor canopies.

Finish line check in.

Word on the street is you can save money by staying in San Simeon - hotels are cheaper, if that's of interest to you.

I agree with Slightspeed about the quality of that location. It was exposed and oven-like late afternoon with few places to sit, so I didn’t linger after I was done.

I solved the oven problem... I just took all day to get to the finish line! the upside of finishing so slow was I didn't have to buy my beer!

The unofficial finish line will be il Palazzo Nuovo.
We'll make sure there's plenty of beer.

I knew where that was just from the photos.

No, I do not live in Cambria but have visited many times over several decades. It is one of our faves.
