Overpriced, but I can see some justification for paying that amount, if looking at that wild paint job inspired me to ride on days when I otherwise wouldn't.

didnt last long, I agree with you on the paint but I’d try and match the bar tape a little better

1989 Stumpjumper Team - $275

There's a good chance a local flipper has already jumped on this.

https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/bi...191780882.html

"I bought this bike new in February 1989. At that time this was the absolute top-of-the-line mountain bike offered by Specialized. It features: triple butted chromoly 19.5" frame, Shimano Deore XT front (3) and rear (7) derailleurs and shifters, new Schwalbe Big Apple tires, a Brooks Professional leather saddle with copper rivets, and numerous other high quality components. In 1989 I bought this bike for just over $1,000 - and I still have all the receipts, owners manual, etc.
The condition of this bike is excellent. It served for about 10 years of it's early life as a gently used mountain bike, was then stored for about 10 years, and was converted to street use for the last 10 years. It has been regularly maintained and is mechanically excellent and cosmetically quite nice except for a few very small places on the paint which now show slight rust. The condition of the bike is evident by the pictures.
I really hate to part with this bike, but I am now in my mid-70's and I can't take advantage of its capabilities like I used to. I am looking for a buyer who will appreciate and use this bike like it deserves. It doesn't at all need a refurbishment, but a carefully done remodel would only enhance the value.
I am asking $275 for this bike with the Brooks saddle or $200 for the bike without the saddle.
You are welcome to contact me for information about the baike or to make arrangements to see and ride it. (Aurora, Indiana is just outside of I-275 on the Southwest side of Hamilton County. About 20-25 miles from downtown Cincinnati)"

"Panasonic Touring Bike, Model DX-4500; 21". Absolutely beautiful bike with minimal use the past 6 years. I purchased this bike new in 1989 and used it quite a bit for bike rallies and races in the SF Bay Area. In 2013, the bike was completely rehabbed by Stone Cyclery in Alameda, CA, which included a custom paint job, new brakes, new tires and a gorgeous real leather seat. I deliberately did not replace the decals as I thought the bike to gorgeous to do this. I was thrilled with the result, however in 2014, everything changed following 5 back surgeries which have since made it impossible for me to use my bike anymore. I will have to resort to a recumbent, something I have resisted these past 6 years while my bike sat unused. This bike has always been stored inside our air-conditioned home, not in the garage or out-of-doors, so it looks like the day Stone finished with it. It is killing me to part with my bike, but it needs a new owner who will use it. A little research will illustrate how highly regarded Panasonics of this vintage were in their day.

The Specs on this bike are as follows:
Frame size: 21"
Frame: Tange Champion No. 2 CR-MO double butted tube, forged ends and sealed B.B. set
Fork: Tange CR-MO unicrown, forged ends and sealed head set
Stem: SR CT Alloy
Seat: Concor S. Macro Supercorsa
Crankset: Shimano Sport LX Biopace 52/42T
Freewheel: Shimano CS-1000 7 speed 13-26T Cassette type
Chain: Shimano UG 50, 1/2" X 3/32" X 110 links; narrow type
Hubs: Shimano Exage Sport, Freehub sealed mechanism
Rear Derailleur: Shimano Sport LX S.I.S.
Front Derailleur: Shimano Sport LX
Shifting Lever: Shimano Sport LX 7-speed S.I.S. & Light Action
Brakes: Shimano 105
Tires: 700 X 25C Panaracer
Spokes: 14G U-C-P finished
Pedals: Shimano Exage Sport
New handlebar tape in 2020

bicycle frame material: alloy

bicycle type: cruiser
condition: like new
frame size: 21"
make / manufacturer: Panasonic
model name / number: DX-4500
wheel size: 25 in"

https://eastnc.craigslist.org/bik/d/...190959168.html
Touring bike? It'd be very interesting to tour on that with the low gear of 42 x 16 and with 25mm tires.

Cheers

"Mens bike for sale"
$160
Actually a Miyata 721 in North Olmstead Ohio (near Cleveland)

For sale men's Miyata bike, the crank to frame top tube is 22 inches. This is an aluminum frame with a cro-moly fork. This bike has brand new tires and tubes not even 10 miles on them. Just had the hubs serviced and the bottom bracket serviced at a shop. New brake pads we put on at the same time as the tires. This is a like-new bike and has very low miles.

Actually looks like a very decent bike for the money

Anyone wanna ship me a beat up old mountain bike from Tuxedo Park, NY??? The seller on eBay won't ship it to me. Its not super desirable but it's cheap its small, and I really want it.

Will obviously compensate you for your time and energy.

Large Colnago which has seen better days:

Colnago super Late 70 early 80s campagnolo italian Eroica steel bike vintage RED

22.5-inch top tube, but no seat tube measurement (I'm guessing 61-sh cm) and nothing from the drive side. Odd top tube color and other rust suggests it's at least been repainted if not replaced. Still, might be of interest to someone.

This is one of the very pretty and very well built Basso branded Pogs. Eclectic mix of very high end (TSX frame, King hs, Thomson seatpost) with very low end (Mirage...). And is about $1000 too high. Also, just because something is listed at $7000 on ebay, doesn't mean it is worth that -or will sell for that.
There is a $6500 asking price on a similar frame with Campy 50th anniversary listed...

Ciocc Roadbike SRAM group - $500 (Somerville)

I've got a pretty awesome Ciocc road frame, it's an '83 with the original fork. The frame and fork have been used. I road this bike for years with it's original parts until I decided I needed to upgrade. So I pieced together the bike as it is now. Newer Gatorskins, Dura-ace hubs laced to Mavic rims (these spin forever), full Sram mishmash group. Rival front and rear derailleur, rival rear shifter, Force cranks, Apex front shifter, Ultegra seat post, Cinelli stem, newish bar tape. Wont come with these silly BMX pedals.
This bike just glides up hills.
57 center to center seat tube X 56.5 center to center top tube.

Trek Steel Road Bike Frame, Early 1980's, Pro 500 Series, Reynolds 531 - $120 (Cambridge)

This is a beautiful classic racing bike frame. It is an early 1980s Pro Series 500 with Reynolds 531 butted tubes. I bought the frame in San Francisco but haven't found the time to build up the bike. I'm now in business school at MIT. It's time to find this bike a new home.

Feel free to text me at show contact info or email me at show contact info if you are interested or have any questions about the frame.
