Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

x600-series was the last side exit. x700 was the first under-bar tape. My ol' Jamis came with 5600 but I replaced the levers with 5700 when they came out. The 5700 didn't shift as quickly/lightly as the 5600, but it was prettier.

Except for DA 7700 which was still side exit 9sp.

Looks tasty, but I'm not sure I'm in the mood for smoked anything at the moment.

EDIT: I'll take the hushpuppies, though.

Leave the pigs alone, unless it's to turn them into bacon or footballs. Really people, beef.

I don’t get it. I imagine it’s too complicated to set, but really a thread more than a year old should only be bumpable by the OP (and possibly anyone who previously posted in it).

And while we're at it, how's Knoxville for cycling, working, and living in general? The slate may wind up completely open.

Do cyclist use ultegra and dura ace over 105 strictly to save weight, or are there other reasons? Reliability, smoothness etc?

Spent all day doing last minute stuff and organizing provisions. Finally got to the boat at 1730 and realized I’d left the full propane tank at home. Ran to the hardware store and decided to splurge on an aluminum tank because the steel ones rust out in the marine environment and the Al one was gloriously light. Got to the boat and the tank was 1 cm too wode for the opening of the propane locker, so I had to do some meatball fiberglass surgery. It’s not visible, but will have to be made pretty later.

Leisurely start after getting ice and pumping out the poo tank in the morning.

I blame the relatively new "related threads" (or whatever) that's at the bottom of threads on the desktop site. Whatever's trawlin' for threads for that dredges up some doozies.

So when we closed on the house, we had to a pretty huge list for lowe’s once we started moving in. One of the items was a lawn mower. I had picked the craftsman 163 cc push/ self propelled lawn mower, it was 300 bucks. The day we made the purchase, they were out of stock of all lawn mowers, but we paid for it anyway and we were told we would have it on the 11th. Yesterday came and went and, and we never heard from Lowe’s. Stopped by this morning, and basically couldn’t tell us when they would be available. I offered to drive has far as Richmond, and Chesapeake, but not one store had any craftsman mower in stock. I then asked why were promised to have on the 11th if they didn’t know when one would be coming in. Long story short, mine was sold, after we already paid for it. I now have a honda 203 cc self propelled Bad ass lawn mower .

On the slowest setting it still almost pulls me over. Thing is a rocket ship.

What I really want to know, does the Ultegra and dura ace survive more miles than the 105, or is it all relative.
