"Cannondale and several independent groups tested bicycles and didn’t find a defect in the forks but Cannondale is offering riders free upgraded replacement forks."

who those independent testers are I don't know.

arent you a Cdale fanboy for their supposed legendary aluminum manipulation? Its the carbon that failed them here.

I am a fanboy of the F'n truth.

the manufacturing of the carbon forks here, didnt fail anyone.

I can break an ash Axe handle with misuse but I don't blame the manufacture or tree grower. Your point is again? Oh wait the "fanboy" dig was a "tell". You really didn't have a point. You're just trolling.
maybe if you traded in that boat anchor for a lighter bike you'd be happier and not so negative on the forums.

Ha, good lord. I chuckled that a company with the old nickname of 'Crack-n-fail' based on their aluminum frames, was recalling a component thats carbon fiber. Nothing more to read into.

As for the fanboy comment- I just used that term because you have described their frames as 'better' than other brands without any actual reasoning. That, to me, is fanboy.
My wife's road bike is a Cannondale Synapse and I am currently building up a '93 Cannondale touring frame so I clearly dont dislike the brand, for what its worth.

With regard to my gravel bike's weight- haha, thats funny since mine is one that is actually used and the rider enjoys. More than can be said about that Trek you bought and trashed over and again on here. And the Schwinn of yours is almost certainly comparatively heavier. Fun fact- thru this fall/winter I am going to transition my gravel bike over to a commuter/touring bike since I sold the frame that i used for commuting and touring. I havent decided if I will build a gravel frame or buy one and dont know what itll weigh(eek!). Whichever I end up doing- it will actually be used and enjoyed.

Between 2 CAADXs that are affected by the recall I've put almost 10,000 miles on them, and I'm still riding mine waiting for the replacement, and so is my buddy who I sold the other frame to. With how many of these I've seen at races I doubt there was actually a widespread defect but rather maybe a few that didn't meet specs but Cdale is being extra cautious
