De Rosa
Hello
I recently bought a Vintage De Rosa bike (prob 1970). It is in a good condition, but I have to get new tires and someone may have exchanged one of the campagnolo shifters with a Shimano. The habdlebar is Sakae (Road Champion?)
Unfortunately I can not send pictures yet.
Do you have any idea of how much it could be worth?
Or how and where to get 10 posts as fast as possible?
Thanks!

hang in there with getting the 10 posts Bismarck ! The boss of the site just set it up that way to protect us from spammers -- But myself and likely a few others are looking forward to seeing some pics of your new acquisition !
A DeRosa is a very desirable bike to many of us

No junk posts please
You can post in "Introduction", and welcome others. And perhaps there are other threads of interest.
The 10 post requirement has been very effective at discouraging spammers and scammers.

Is that even a real de Rosa?
Not saying it isn't, but it's impossible to tell from those pictures.
Very odd collection of 5,6,7 and 8 speed era parts makes me fear the worst t.b.h.

It currently is in the shop to be checked and to change the tyres. Why is it odd? I am new into vintage bikes. Could you please explain? How can I see wether it really is a De Rosa?

Pretty sure those are Zeus rear dropouts. Strike against.
The Bottom bracket, DeRosa used a cast shell, and later an investment cast, this one if of French origon pretty sure, not Bad, just not the correct type. Strike Two.
Fork rake is all wrong for a DeRosa, even into the 90's. Strike three.
There are other telling views that are skipped, but don't bother.
Might be a terrific frame, but not a DeRosa.

Doubtful this is really a DeRosa. Are there any DeRosa pantographings or engravings in the fork crown or the top eyes of the seatstays? Any heart-shaped cutouts or engravings? If you could provide close-up photos of the lugs and fork crown we could say definitively. But I'm already convinced you need to get your money back if the seller represented this as a genuine DeRosa.

I agree with the general responses you have been getting. In light of the fact that these folks KNOW THEIR BIKES it is highly likely this is another make and may be a great bike , but not like the De Rosa's I have seen.

Is the logo on top of the fork crown a bicycle wheel? There was another manufacturer by the name of DeRosa who used a wheel for their logo. Give us a clear photo of the logo on the top of the fork crown and of the serial number. Seat post diameter and bottom bracket threading would also be helpful. Bottom bracket threading may be a series of numbers engraved on one of the bottom bracket cups. Seat post diameter may be engraved on the seat post, something like "26.4" or "27.2"
The headset appears to say "BSC" on it which would indicate English threads.
There is also the possibility that the frame and fork are from two different bikes.

Zeus logo on the top of the fork crown. Zeus dropouts. You know what I'm thinking this is? A Zeus; perhaps a Superchronos.
