My longest one-day ride on my single-speed Dahon Mu Uno: South Bend, IN to Chicago, IL. I started at 4:50 a.m. and took full advantage of southeasterly winds to make the 105 mile ride in time to take a swim in Lake Michigan, get something to eat, and catch a 1:35 p.m. train back to South Bend. (It was the South Shore train -- a train on which full-sized bikes are not allowed.)

If that does happen, I wouldn't want to be in the saddle when it does.

At the SF Bike Expo. The valets said they had seen someone with a Cannondale mini velo (!?) earlier, but mine was the only one I saw -- I didn't even see any folders in the show, though I passed someone on a Brompton heading up the hill & assume they were headed for the Cow Palace...

Yep, as Dynaryder mentioned above, it was likely the Cannondale Hooligan. A great bike!

Here's a picture for you. Very sexy .....and the bike is too.

Birdy Mark 1 Silver/Capreo at Niagara Falls, US side, lots of mist that day

I wonder if those Big Apples would provide enough flotation to...nah!

The first time I saw the falls, I don't remember seeing any of those Canadian sticky uppy things from here. Progress, I guess.

Birdy paying homage to Nikola Tesla at "The Statue of NO Limitations". Nikola may have been working on a bicycle design when he died. Not a folder, or a separable, but an expandable! By rearranging the spacing of electrons in their shells, he could vary the size of the tires and frame geometry to transition from a nimble urban commuter to a high flotation snow bike, while shrinking into an Altoids tin for compact rail/bus transportation and storage (not that you'd have to take a train unless the weather was really nasty, because his lithium-plasma battery powered motor (AC naturally, with an inverter) would propel the bike at up to 46.2 MPH for 9.6 hours, uphill, with a 300 pound rider on board (Nikola even foresaw that trend) . Scoff if you want, but just remember who we're talking about here. The plans were missing from his papers after he died, like a lot of other things, probably pilfered by Thomas Edison and the Bicycle Manufacturers Cartel.

Nice Birdy!

I wish mine is silver. I have the green version.

Actually, I'm one of the pilots, and the seat on the left is mine.

This sheds some light on certain aspects that a black-box can't record.

When stretching your legs during the flight, do you ride it up and down the isles?

I was sorta close! For your "Western Washington" tag, I figured you built them. Either way is pretty cool
