Katy Texas to Energy Corridor Commute
I live in East Katy Texas (near George Bush Park) and looking to start bike commuting to my job in Energy Corridor which is about 13 miles away.
Are there any other Katy Texas commuters on here?

Thanks for the tips! Rode this morning for first time. Colder than usual and windy but still felt great. Route was 14.5 miles and managed to clock in at an hour. Wasn't trying to go fast at took turns slowly due to the wet/mud roads. It was mostly on bike paths which was nice. I really enjoyed it.
With traffic light due to covid, it still took longer than driving but is close in normal heavy traffic of Houston. Still have a lot to learn on planning/packing and not waiting until the morning to get ready!

Yeah, I'm on the far side of the Bush park and was a commuter until the COVID work from home happened. It's mostly a great ride with a couple of really exciting sections from drivers that aren't quite awake in the morning...

OMG. I did a lot of commuting in Houston back in the day, but George Bush's name was on nothing. He was just a lowly diplomat to China, and doing some stuff with the CIA. He was literally my neighbor (along will Billy Gibbons of all things). Never saw him, but certainly ran into Barbara a fair amount. I must be an old fart, I'm showing my age. ;-)
