Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's nice, but those SMP saddles are so ugly, and you need to trim your fork.

Ugly? SMP is certainly not the common, cookie cutter saddle of the masses... The steerer tube does need a trim but my fitter wants me to ride it for a while just in case, I think he got it right the first time though. Once the fit is dialled in it will also get a white matching Colnago stem.

It'd probably be more lightweight without all them wheel stickers But that's a personal thing of mine. Other than that, pretty hot

Yup, you're right! It's the only ugly saddle that looks like that! You should have waited until the bike was done before you posted the pic then but hey, I understand. You just dropped a ton of money (especially in Canadian dollar-bucks), and you wanted some praise quickly, so kudos!! (Except for the ugly saddle)

I totally agree with you, I was going to remove the "Lightweight" logos but they are painted on to the carbon suface, I didn't want to run the risk of damaging them with acetone...I did seriously consider painting over the white logo with black though.

I don't know why but it seems like a sin to me to remove "Lightweight" from their wheels.

Exactly! Who's gonna know you paid $10K (Canadian Monopoly money) for them if the labels aren't showing?

I rode through Baumont a number of years ago, thought I entered the Twilight Zone... Stop signs said Arret, schools said Ecole. Bizarre!

They are in my top two or three dream wheels. First being Lew's, then tied for second with Mad Fibers.

Very nice! Have you ever checked out the Lew's? I believe they have gone out of business but their wheels are sooooo drool worthy.

Yeah, I get my oven mitts at Harbor Freight. What, you mean you don't use oven mitts?

Ah, if you only knew. . . I'm actually pretty much as educated as it gets. You came here asking for an opinion, and I gave it to you. Don't be mad.

You're in the wrong thread if you wanted people to take any of those things into consideration when handing out judgement. This is the Hot 'r Not thread. Your bike will be mercilessly criticized and judged strictly on its appearance, your photography skills, and whether you aligned your tire labels with your valve stems; not on silly things like fit and saddle practicality.

At no point was I, nor am I "mad" about anything. My picture posted was in reality a response to another..the rest was me agreeing with the comment made...all until the troll in reference to dropping a ton of money in "Canadian dollars-bucks"..It certainly wasn't a "ton" of money and the US / CDN dollar have been mostly on par for the last ten years. I own houses in both the US and Canada, I know exactly where either dollar stands.
