Yeah but she's got to check - leave no stone unturned. In my case they just might find some missing face cards or something, that would answer a lot of questions.

When did undergraduates lose the ability to write a proper email asking for a job? Most emails I get now begin with some variant of "I hope this finds you well." Why include that gratuitous piece of familiarity? What emotion is it supposed to engender in the stranger reading it? I feel like responding, "I hope you take two years off before grad school and learn to mind your own business, you presumptuous puppy!"
Then, of course, they sign it, "With warmest regards" or some ****.

What was billed as a normal two or three day houseguest experience has become complicated by a lost purse containing passport, cash, and debit cards. The original birth certificate is on its way via(gasp!!) FedEx, the only local option from the small town of origin. She has a flight reservation to Chiapas, from Cancun, on Saturday. The new passport is effectively instantaneous upon supplying the correct documents and, of course, the cash. What isn't clear yet is what is to be done about the other half of the tourist card without which she can't board a plane for home. I have a spare blank one in my passport case, but some in the group are reticent to use it.

There's still at least six inches still on the ground from the storm we got a couple of weeks ago. We've had a few snowy days since and it's snowing right now.

Signatures are still "regards" or "thank you", depending on the situation. You'll occasionally get a "thanks", if I deal with you a lot and it's a quick note.

My work emails typically start off with "Good morning/afternoon"
They typically end with "Thanks" or "Thank you" followed by my signature with job title and company info.
Lots of times I get replies in all caps and with bad spelling and grammar. Especially from raw material suppliers.
Manufacturing isn't the most formal of places.

Does this look like a crack? Never noticed it before, was hanging the bike up and saw it underneath the top tube. I must have bought it like this. I rubed my finger over it and don’t feel any edges.
