I finally got the decals off of the wheels, tweaked the bars and got some good miles in.

Pics like that remind me never to complain about where I live. Is all that from snow melt ?

Yea its actually not half bad. This was just one part of the park where it was quite flooded- thankfully you could actually go around it. The week before I rode through with my Kilo which was worse and almost the whole park was flooded. Had to change the chain on it afterwards because it rusted out :/

Ride up one of the canyons near Provo, UT approaching Sundance. Kind of a memorial ride for a fellow cyclist who passed away around here a year ago.

Looks like a nice ride. How was it going with a fixed gear? I am looking to do some traveling with my bike this year, trying to find some spots that would be more scenic than Manhattan.

There is about 1200ft of climbing over 15 miles on this route specifically, so not easy by any means. But, anyone that rides frequently can do these rides just fine. Though we who ride fixed are few in number, the SLC and Provo areas have a ton of great rides up canyons, around lakes, along rivers. There's a group of 10-12 of us who ride track bikes on a frequent basis long distance. If you like climbing, there will plenty for you here in Utah. Flats as well. Plenty of scenery.

OK - I admit that I actually listened to some advice given here - I flipped my stem and lowered the bars and believe it or not I actually like the way it rides much better. Way better against a headwind and more natural to move from seated to standing. Street safe with my blinky light and ready for long hauls with my Walmart (Bell) bottle cage mount.
