Text entry box doesn't show up unless I disable ublock origin
This is getting annoying. I need uBlock origin working for security policy purposes (malware spreading through ad networks).
I'm using the latest firefox on linux.

I doubt it's intentional. If I had to guess it's just a new dependency on the text input box. Maybe this one:

I think you're right - I noticed the same thing as the OP, but under the User CP -> Edit Options you can scroll down to "Miscellaneous Options" and set the editor to anything but the "Enhanced Interface - Full CKEditor Editing" and it should work.
At least it does for me.

If this site used rep points you would certainly be getting some from me.

So far I'm doing reasonably well with No-Script Lite. I don'.t get any of the fancy buttons in the editor, but know most of the VB Code that I need.
And, as mentioned earlier, the BikeForums header is HUGE. Between the header and footer, I lose half my screen.
Images seem to be coming through an outside server, https://cimg1.ibsrv.net.
I think there was a previous post about some very questionable Adobe popups from BikeForums.
I'd encourage the company to look for ways to take back control of their ads. Perhaps HTML based ads through CGI-BIN?
It would be a different way of thinking about things, but the JAVA on the internet is getting way out of control.

The Adobe popups are not a specific problem of IB or this particular site, they are an expansion of problems that plagued Yahoo and I have been getting them on a newspaper site as well. That is one that has to be solved by more than just IB. REPORT them to your antimalware app maker and the browser maker as well, being proactive helps flush this stuff like Ty-D-Bol.
Since I hear the most about shenanigans happening on mobile devices and their browsers, perhaps those users need to ask their VENDORS and malware scanner makers about that.

Please keep in mind, the simple editor is not really supported, so you may have issues if you use it.
