Ksyrium front hub squeaks when weighted

I have Kysrium hubs on my roadbike. When I weight the front end the front wheel starts intermittant squeaking. I also feel pulsing resistance. This seems bad. When I take the wheel out and spin it, it's free'n'easy. Spokes are all nice. What should I do?

(I MISSPELLED KSYRIUM! FIXED.)

I have no idea what type of bearing set up you have, but you should be able to figure out it needs some kind of "service".
Cartridge or cup & cone bearings?
Posting a link to the exact model would be useful.

Those hubs have cartridge bearings so if the wheel spins smooth off the bike the cartridges are probably still good. Sometimes dirt and grit gets in between the hub cover and body, so even if the bearings are good, you can get some noise. Try removing the hub cover, end cap and axel and clean everything.

I googled some more and found some good info. Then I played around w the wheel and I see that there's a 5mm fitting for one end of the axle and a dimpled cone-cover sort of thing on the other side. Otherwise there seem to be 2 pieces on each side that rotate freely. Once you put a wrench in the end of the axle you can tighten or loosen the dimpled cover. The bearings play is side to side not "tilting." I'll try tighter and looser and see what is the effect. If creaking and intermittent resistance remains then I'll disassemble and clean.

You can get the bearings at a business that sells them. https://www.enduroforkseals.com/prod...hro-stl_abec5/

Pulsing resistance and squeaking? Have you tried running your brakes further to make sure it’s not brake rub? Even if your bearings were nearly shot, I’m not sure that it’d make a perceptible difference. I know my rear wheel (cartridge bearing hub) has an issue where sometimes the axle caps get loose and allow the wheel to play around from side to side. I only noticed because my brakes were rubbing.

Also, if you’re gonna try new bearings, I’ve heard really good things about NTN LLB (contactless seal) bearings. Should last a really long time, and they roll quite fast.

The bearing model number is on the seals. Hopefully they use a standard size,
I have radial bearings in my Suntour hubs that will get noisy when worn and still feel smooth off the bike.
