Late 80s bikes that came in yellow?

Hi All!

I have a friend who adores the color yellow. They are picking up a new bike (something cheap'sh to just ride around town) and found an old Schwinn Varsity. Though they look great, I've always found them to ride like a bag of bricks.

I myself love the styling of bikes from 1985 to the early 90s and wanted to point them towards something from or near that era. I think these bikes often hit a sweet spot on affordability, technology and looks. Anyone know of any bikes that come out in yellow (or were yellow dominant) originally from around then?

Thanks for sharing!

Does it have to be a road bike? My 1985 Cannondale SM600 is yellow and it could be set up with more "road-friendly" tires. The fork was originally yellow - I replaced it and some components.

1988 Schwinn Prelude in Lazer Yellow/White Fade. I like that paint scheme. I thought I just saw one for sale too.

The 1986 Centurion Facet, which was a mid-range, slightly oversize aluminum frameset with SunTour Sprint comes immediately to mind. I'm sure I'll think of a few more, later.

1987 Centurion Ironman (Master, the 1988 Ironman Expert also came in a yellow-white fade

Early 90s Bridgestone RB-1.

Olde Lemonds. And even turn of the century Lemonds. I have a 2001 Buenos Aires, and it looks early 90s

oohlala, those all look beautiful! The Cannondale would be a great around town bike, looks like plenty of room for fenders. And I'm in love with all of the paint on Centurion Ironman's. I've never seen/heard of a Facet! I had a Cannondale sr500 that I loved and I might just have to find one of those for me (or a Miyata equivalent). Thanks for the replies everyone. Going to add some of these to my keywords search. I definitely missed the yellow bikes for September thread. I'll peek there too.

1987 Trek Antelope 800 was a nice yellow color:

31 years later I still have mine, but the above bike isn't it.
