Yep. Just this Saturday. A 2 lane road with no shoulder. I was doing 20 in a 25. He crept past doing about 35 and never gave an inch. I yelled: "Courtesy!" as soon as I was past his rear bumber.
It makes me wonder...When I learned to drive in a Farmall or took the horse to the Lacomb Grocery I never got the disrespect from the good, moral, and upstanding, country boys I do now when I'm on my bike.
It's about being "in group" versus "out-group"...A bunch of angry & irritable bigots...the whole lot of 'em. I for one would be glad if the country boys lived up to their supposed old-timey values.

the worst in my area are those small flatbeds that carry one or two little weird mail trucks. don't know what their deal is, but I've had some of the worst close passes by them

I had a GM, Not sure if it hates me because I am a cyclist,
Or if it just thinks my hard earned money needs to support Mexico part production.
My wallet now needs a Government bailout for owning a GM.

It did, but I'm not sure why. There was some really good info on there, and I didn't see anyone being rude or bashing other forum members, only the drivers of some vehicles, which I feel is fair game. There was a lot of truth there: the "country boys" who drive big (esp. diesel) pickup trucks really are guilty of this more than, for instance, your average Camry driver. I don't think I have to worry about a 70-year-old grandmother intentionally running me off the road the way a 30-year-old white male in a pickup might. (And I *am* a white male BTW; I recognize my own ethnic/gender group is most guilty of this, and many other horrible things, just like young men are much more likely to cause auto accidents than young women, a fact which insurance companies legally use to give much higher rates to those young men.)
