OP should stick with the road bike. Faster to escape from gangs of kids on the levee.

It looks like alot here need a full suspension mtb just to support them on two wheels. No wonder they can't even ride a RB and constantly worry about blowouts.

It's not nice to disparage other members, even if they've pointed out your errors. Better to try and learn from them. Furthermore, we don't do weight shaming on BF. There are hefty folks here who could probably cost you a lung if you tried to keep up on an actual ride. Have you mentioned if you actually own a bike?

You don't have to go down this path. You could settle your mind, get a bike and go for a ride, start over.
