OP should stick with the road bike. Faster to escape from gangs of kids on the levee.

That was awesome!
Especially the start when the one rider wipes out and can't stop sliding down the course

It looks like alot here need a full suspension mtb just to support them on two wheels. No wonder they can't even ride a RB and constantly worry about blowouts.

It's not nice to disparage other members, even if they've pointed out your errors. Better to try and learn from them. Furthermore, we don't do weight shaming on BF. There are hefty folks here who could probably cost you a lung if you tried to keep up on an actual ride. Have you mentioned if you actually own a bike?

You don't have to go down this path. You could settle your mind, get a bike and go for a ride, start over.

I'm reading the words, but they're not fully registering. Something about different bikes being different?

I've actually never ridden a full suspension bike, and do just fine on my road bike, thank you. But actually knowing something about bikes usually prevents someone from doing the stupid kind of insulting you have been engaged in throughout this thread. I respect people who ride mountain bikes because they can do stuff I don't do on those bikes.

The things you say that are true about the bikes being different are too obvious to need saying. The things you say that aren't obvious aren't true.

Okay, I'm convinced.

I think we have seen the best of Hr1 and it has come time to stop throwing food to the beast under the bridge.
