Finnish soldiers on bicycles.
If you like movies with bicycles in them you might want to check out Rukajärven ti. This movie follows a Finnish bicycle platoon in Russian occupied Karelia during the continuation war with Russia in 1941 (Finland's involvement in WWII is extremely complex and they fought with and against both the Nazis and Stalin). The movie does a really great job with the period uniforms and bicycles and there are lots of great scenes of bicycling through the forests and marsh lands of Karelia. There is some violence (it is a war movie after all) and some sex so you don't want to watch this with children but there is way, way less than if this was a Hollywood war movie. Anyway, it is available through Netflix under the title Ambush.

The Finns almost defeated the Russkies; they employed ski troops and white camouflage. Dropped soldiers out of transport planes into snowbanks . . . without parachutes!
Even had a couple American volunteer pilots.
They sided later with the Nazis in order to get revenge on the Russkies.
Bicycle troops in WWII were also used by the German, French, Belgian armies. Even the Swiss had mountain bikes for some of their troops.
