Oops.....
Imagine opening this thread out of curiosity and seeing the frame I just nabbed off Ebay. Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes.
I researched all of yesterday and couldn't find another like it to date it. By what I did find it seems like it must be around mid 90s.
Not too worried about the BB cable guide. There where some frames that used a snap in guide and I think that's what's going on here. I've even got a NOS one in my parts bin to try when I get it in.
The LBS that does most of my work is well versed on classic steel bikes. Their used to chasing threads, facing headsets, and even minor alignments so I was worried by anything I saw in the pics.
If the listed weight is with the headset and bottom bracket shown installed it should build up to a respectable weight.
I found this while looking for another yellow frameset for the collection. I am trying to downsize but...well....I was able to justify this. Sold my yellow Paramount and the beautiful yellow Vitus Argal I've been trying out just isn't my cup of tea. So I'm selling that locally too. That meant I needed another yellow bike, right? Plus I just picked up two pretty mint looking silver groupsets and need something to put them on. See how easy it is to support your N+1 addiction?

Not sure what model that is.
I can't find any reference to a Concorde Blitz, and have not seen anything previously.
Also those lugs look different to what I usually see (and to what are on my Concorde Prelude).
I am also used to the head badge on the PDM era frames being the word Concorde painted on, while mine has a proper badge similar to what is painted on this frame.
Fork is definitely Concorde though.

That may be helpful.
I think they were all made from Columbus, just different grades for different models.
I saw a couple of pics of the Concorde Colombo that were similar paint colour, but that is all.

Well the seller responded back.
No real answers other than he's sold a lot of Concorde bikes but not one like this. It was equipped with Super Record when he got it.

It's a squadra for sure. I think they were made of TSX, which is what I assumed this one was. It might have been a funky year for outsourcing and a limited run.

It doesn't, but there is a sticker that refers to Squadra Corse. I assumed it was legitimate, but also wasn't sure with all of the Columbus stickers about the frame.

Interesting, yes I think this has many clues that point to Martens/Martelly and away from an Italian contract builder (whether that was Billato or the "other B-brothers"). Very likely this is made with Columbus Thron if that's correct.

Well, to finish this thread out. The bike came in today. The packing was a little scary looking but it seems to have made it through ok.
Gave it a wipe down and then grabbed some quick pics. Seems well made but not exceptional. The paint appears quite good. The various color flourishes are painted but the Columbus, Concorde, and Blitz markings are decals that don't seem to be clear coated over. I did make one mistake cleaning it. There was some adhesive residue that I tried to clean with alcohol like I've done many times on other frames. Not this one, it removes paint. Doh.
A 27,2 seatpost went in just fine. The headset on it is a Mavic Vette and the Bottom Bracket is a Mavic also. With these components on the frameset I weighed it at 7 lbs 4 ozs.
Looked inside the seat tube and saw something weird. Pulled it out and at first thought it was someone's homemade seatpost shim. But as you can see, it as there when the frame was painted.
Didn't notice any rifling in the seat tube or the fork steerer. But I do need to clean up inside of the steerer some to see better. Lots of built up grime in there.
Finally some more pics for now. Once it's built up I'll do some better pictures. Oh, and I emailed Eddy Martens about this and sent him some pics. Hopefully he'll confirm what I suspect and give more insight. From what I can tell researching I'm expecting him to say it is Columbus Thron. The Bottom Bracket is stamped with a 56 for the size but under that is a "3E", I'm not sure what that means.

I almost thought it was a short contract builder, and so nothing matched anything else completely in the line...I think that makes sense the way I said it.
