Hiding Bicycle Short "Bulge"

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hiding Bicycle Short "Bulge"

I didnt know which forum to actually put this in and being that most of the bicycling short wearers are road cyclist I thought this would be the best to address the question.
I have this problem with when I wear cyclist shorts in the front I have a bulge (if you havent figured it out yet...yes, I am a guy) and was wondering how I could safely hide this bulge without just lobbing it off

Don't worry about it so much, it's expected. Unless of course you are really packing.

The best way to hide it - only wear matte black shorts.

Either the Rock Racing shorts or generic ones made of red lycra are usually good choices for concealing the frank and beans.

By the way, with free advice, sometimes you get what you pay for!

I'm pretty sure you can get some cycling shorts which are more like running shorts and not skin tight. Perhaps like these mountain bike shorts. https://www.performancebike.com/shop/...tegory_id=1122 I have never actually ridden with shorts like those however, so I cannot vouch for their comfort. Another possibility is using looser shorts over your lycra shorts.

I don't know about you, but the rest of us only wear the shorts when we're riding. If you're wearing them while babysitting or on a date, you've made a mistake.

Suddenly the phrase "packaging tape" sounds like a bad pun...

I dont know why you would want to hide it. It is an easy way to pick up some money on the side.

$5 to look $10 to touch.
