Yes, this is about the only one I've seen where the strap is located far enough back. The black line sprinting ones look very nice but are way too far forward in my opinion.

I like that one, too. I never made one like that myself. I'd like to see a DIY tutorial on how to do it. But, I think you'd have to have the metal piece fabricated.

Also, that solution above would also allow for easy strap removal if you don't want to use straps for an event or warmup/cooldown.

One of the options posted on UpUpUp (thanks for the link, @gycho77), is basically this, but unfortunately there are no notes on how they did it.

Black Line Sprinting Strap

I ordered one and sadly it did not fit my feet.
I wear a 47 and it was about a FULL 2-3" to velcro close.
In fact I lent them to a racer at our track and I think he wears a 43/44 and they barely closed but not usable for a secure closure.

I did receive a refund but not an answer of why this was.
It simply was a design flaw of too much of the stiff velcro portion and too little of the "fluffy" velcro half.
