Back to Zwift..
I thought I might make it a bit longer, but it was pouring rain here all weekend. And the week coming up doesn't look any better with hurricane Florence promising to give us several more inches next weekend (according to the latest forecast).
So earlier today I did the world hack to go to Innsbruck. The lack of real climbing over the summer was something I definitely felt. But I did complete the 1st part of the Everest challenge, and now have the Trek Emonda to show for it. The sad thing is that I am only 17% of the way to the Tron bike. This could take a while.

Same ... the mornings are getting chilly, but since I work from home, I can just delay my ride til around lunch when it's a little warmer. I'll ride into the 40s. I think I started zwifting last October, so that's kind of my plan for this year as well.

So y'all still actually have seasons? Summer doesn't start to lose steam here until around Halloween. Though today is forecast for a relatively chilly 96º.
I don't know if I'm envious or not. It would be nice not to have to ride before 9am every day without worrying about the Sun's mighty wrath. But snow sounds absolutely terrible.

There is discussion at our local transit agency to remove the restriction against bikes on the trains during rush hour, and that would make bike commuting really reasonable for me. I go 1 stop in a reverse commute, and it cuts what would be an 18 mile ride down to about 11 miles.

I have been thank full for the technology this summer, with the amount of rain and oppressive heat I have been in the pain cave at least 3 days a week.
I wouldn't have rode half as much without zwift and rouvy streaming in my back room
it's nice to be outdoors, but the smart trainer has saved the season for me
when I do make it outside, I have been happy with my results, and grateful that the rides seem so much easier than inside

I’m not going to say that riding a bike in snow is wonderful...it’s a lot of work...but that’s the point. Riding through 4” to 6” of snow is tough but it sure beats chasing other hamsters on the wheel.

Yeah, I need to get back on Zwift...just realize they raised the price. I do have a fat bike for snowy days but my cycling is suffering like crazy since my new job has me travelog constantly. It is the one thing I truly truly miss. Well, I kinda miss the wife and dog too but cycling....
