Broken spring on a dia compe cv2

Cant figure out how to take the thing apart.

sorry very electron deficient here. I titled something "broken dia compe vc2 cantilever spring". Whats the trick to get the spring out?

Took the little screw out, the black plastic wiggles and is not connected to the aluminum lever. Looking at it now it's possible the spring isnt broken just that the screw wasnt holding the fixed end of the spring. Do i drive the brass bushing out to take it apart?
