TdF on OLN
I couldn't find a thread on this, which surprised me. On their Web site, OLN says they will have at least three hours a day (some stages four and a half) every day! Live and repeats. Plus other stuff.
Did I miss an earlier thread?

They do this every year for the TDF.... This is your one chance a year to get coverage cycling deserves!
Man! I wished I lived in Europe and saw races all day on tv.

No wonder all you folks have been complaining about the OLN coverage in years past. But ... it is better than nothing. C'est la vie.

The first thing you will notice is virtually no breaks for commercial purposes. It seems that the racing time to commercial time ratio on OLN is only about two or three to one.
Then listen to the commentators and color people (even if you can't understand them). The level of their excitement and knowledge is immensely greater. While Phil and Paul are not terrible, I have found them to be pretty disappointing. But that is no doubt due to the American TV sensibilities about commercial values and level of viewer understanding.
As I said, clearly better than nothing.
