FS: One-off Landshark Built GT 56cm Frame - Fillet Brazed Reynolds 853 Hellenic Stays

This one stings, but I have to come to grips with the fact that it is too small and a bike like this deserves to be ridden. If it we're a 58 or larger, you'd have to pry it from my cold, dead hands. This is a true one-off, there is not another like it anywhere

Super custom early 90's GT built (I believe) for a Jame Carney here in Colorado Springs by John Slawta of Landshark, according to a former teammate of his who apparently made the connection with Slawta. He said John built the frame, painted it in 24hrs and rushed it out for him to ride in the '90 Tour De Trump. It's beautifully fillet brazed Reynolds 853 with Hellenic seat stays (parallel to downtube), lugged bottom bracket, beefy rear dropouts, Landshark brake bridge, race number braze-on and plenty of other fancy touches.

The frame is overall in very good used condition. The paint is not perfect by any means and has some rubs and a few chips all typical of a well-loved bike of this age. It looks great from a few ft away and there are no dings, dents or bends, the frame is perfectly aligned.

Measurements, as taken by me, are:

Seat Tube 54cm ctc 59.5cm to top of seat clamp
Top Tube 56cm ctc
Head Tube 14.5cm
Chainstays 40.5cm
81cm Standover with 23c tires
I was able to fit Vittoria Corsa 27c tires

Asking $550 shipped CONUS for the frame as pictured (Frame, Fork, Shimano 600 headset). Please see pics in the album HERE for details, feel free to reach out with any questions etc. Cheers!

Very nice frame. It looks aggressive and fast. Nice tire clearance. Too small for you, too long for me. Especially the seat tube. I wish you well in the selling, someone that will appreciate it and likes a bike with speed.

Ugh, I wish these dimensions were just a little bit different. I think I would need to run too long seatpost and something like a technomic to get the bars up high enough and I wouldn't be happy with the build at that point. Good luck with sale and thanks for posting. I loved seeing it.

Off-topic, but didn't J-Me have a brother riding at the same time? I believe I saw J-Me win the New Jersey junior championship in the early '80s? Crossed the line not even winded, stopped and asked "how much time do I have on them?"
