Not visible in the pix but surely very much present is a vastly superior cardiovascular system, and your son will thank you for that! That is EXCELLENT work!

Wish I could lose that 20-30. I've been riding seriously for 6 years now averaging 3-4k per year. Nearing 65, still working yet with all this riding I cannot seem to lose any weight. At least not the 20-30 I had hoped for 6 years ago.

Can't figure it out. Have low T and thing that the metabolism is off but I did have doctor prescribed T enhancement and it did nothing. I eat normal too.

So, I am envious of those that lose 20 or more. I only wish I were losing more weight. I am a lot stronger than 5 years ago but the weight has remained relatively steady even though my average speed on my rides has went from 12mph to 17-18 now.

When I want to lose a few more pounds I concentrate on sugars, bread and potatoes as well. Weight just seems to drip away.

BTW, I lost 60 lbs from my peak at around age 50 and have managed to stay around 165-170 for the last 16 years. It’s definitely a lifestyle change. 6’ 1” as well but probably smaller frame than you.

Keep up the great activities!!!
I do have some excess skin, but I started trying to learn what to do about it about 6 months in. I learned about an amazing process called Autophagy. I have been told that I have very little excess compared to someone who lost by surgery or such. I am convinced that staying in Autophagy by fasting 16-20 hours every day is responsible for my health recovery and skin tightening. I worked up to it and it gives me more energy than lots of carb meals during the day without low energy swings. I would encourage anyone over 50 to look into Autophagy.

Congratulations! Certainly an achievement to be celebrated (in moderation)! I’m hoping, like many, to drop 20 or so when I start riding. Can’t run the dogs like I used to and walking is not doing much (for weight loss/maintenance) anymore. You are certainly an inspiration.
