Exotic issues on Android
I've had trouble editing messages on Android for some time. The general symptom is that when editing text in the middle somewhere (that is, not at the end of a line), when I add a space, frequently some garbage involving characters around the the cursor is inserted, replacing some of the existing text. I'm not sure if this is an Android issue or a forum software issue. It's been going on for awhile (a couple months, anyway), so I'm not just imagining things. This is a significant problem.
Also, in the past couple days, hitting RETURN causes the soft keyboard to disappear. If I touch the cursor it is restored. Not earth shaking, just annoying.

What works for me when editing into mid sentence is just to type slowly and don't "out run" the Android software. I always thought my old phone was just getting tired and slowing down.

Interesting observation. I use Google's Gboard app, their version of the old SWYPE keyboard. I suppose the system has to "think" harder to accurately (or not) deduce my intent from the path my finger traced.
