I like The Black Bibs $40 jerseys. Great solid colors, made in china, full length zipper. I've got a red, orange, (Sean Kelly) green, and dark blue. Just ordered the mustard one but it wasn't $40.

Just curious, what is the "problem" with the jersey pictured in the OP that provokes all the negative "thoughts" and OT comments? Is it too inexpensive, or wasn't purchased from an LBS ,or doesn't have a well known logo/brand name visible, or is it just hostility towards the OP?

Did you miss the part where OP asked ‘what do you think’ ??
People told him what they think.
Sorry that you appear to have an issue with ‘negative thoughts’
You keep rockin your safe space bro

I think what we think isn't as important as what OP thinks.

Can you be specific? What was "controversial" in the original post or the picture of the jersey?

It is the finest piece of work I have ever seen in a bike cycling garment! Ever! GOAT!!! The Rapha Elitists must invite you too their clubhouse immediately to share your backstory.

On the other hand, I too have fallen for cheap cycling jerseys but just re-purpose them to dog walking attire if they do not fit right for me. Extra back pockets are great for Terrier snacks and a water bottle holder.

I haven’t. I also have a cat, not a dog. I think there is a connection between the two.

I selected a pre-made design. Where can I upload my own design for a jersey? I found a few websites where I can customize text and select panels in certain colors, but I haven't found a website where I can upload an image to have it printed on a jersey. Got a link?

You can design a custom bike jersey and upload a logo here: https://www.akapparel.com/

The logo has to be in a specific image format. When I used this vendor for a design for a group riding on the Katy Trail, I used a free online converting app to get a design into the accepted format.

Just be aware, this company is in the US and the work is gonna cost a lot more than $12. There's a sliding scale - the more you buy, the cheaper it each one gets.

My only hesitation about owning or wearing that jersey is that is says "bike cycling" on it. It speaks to branding in an unfamiliar language. It's awkward, particularly for me, as English is my primary language.

$12.00 to $16.00 is what I like to pay for a jersey for simple joy rides or for use on my trainer. I have two (club) jersey's and only use them once in a while, big events or just for just something different but the generic jersey's are fine and much better than a cotton t-shirt. I really don't want to pay $50+ for the privilege of advertising a pro team, special annual event or bike industry supplier but that's just me. I paid $7.00 each for 4 or 5 water bottles with a bike store logo, the only good thing about that is the cost was reasonable. If something has a logo and is a good deal then ok. Having said that there are some inexpensive brands that are serviceable, sold on Amazon that I wouldn't wear either. I'm vain in some respects.
