Post Your Pearls That "Most" Others Don't Know or Do

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

In spite of the snarky flavor, there is a wealth of knowledge here in the 41 and I am grateful for it.

Oh OK, so we're allowed to get a little snarky in this thread? How's this:

There are no such thing as bicycle "breaks", they are called "Brakes". Likewise, there are no such things as bicycle "peddles", they're called "Pedals". Sheesh! Finally got that one off my chest.

My LBS peddles pedals. You can also go to them when your brakes break.

My pet peeve is "rack".

Does it go on the bike, or secure the bike... and to an inanimate stationary object, or to a moving one...

Jerseys fit better these days, but if you have one that flaps it's pretty easy to take it in.

Zig zag stitch to preserve the stretchiness, no need to cut off the excess.
