Hello from Connecticut
Just a quick hello from Connecticut and intro. I got back into cycling January 2018 with a hybrid bike and purchased a mountain bike a few months ago. I used to ride a lot in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Never a racer, more for fitness and fun. Had a couple of Cannondales CAAD 5s back then. Went to a Giant fitness bike in 2016 to help in rehab from a hip replacement. Cycling became less important due to my work over the next 10 years, although I would always ride in the 5 Borough Bike Tour, tour number 19 for me coming up in May.
Semi retired now and need to stay active. Both bikes are Cannondales, a Quick Carbon 1 and Cujo 2 with an added dropper post. Entered a couple of charity rides last year and had a blast, looking forward to a few more this year. Last winter and this winter I try to get on the bike once or twice a week riding mostly on a paved trail that is plowed, part of the east coast greenway. https://www.traillink.com/trail/farm...eritage-trail/
Looking forward to spring and warmer weather.

Welcome!
Somewhat similar to your story, I rode (both road and trail) for years but sporadically to say the least. Since retiring a few years back, I've been rolling up the miles both road and off.
